Short Note on ISO Development:

ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is an independent, non-governmental international organization that develops and publishes standards to ensure the quality, safety, efficiency, and interoperability of products, services, and systems.

ISO Development Process:

1. Proposal Stage – A new work item proposal is submitted and approved by relevant ISO members.
2. Preparatory Stage – A working group of experts is formed to prepare a working draft.
3. Committee Stage – The draft is reviewed and revised by a technical committee.
4. Enquiry Stage – A Draft International Standard (DIS) is circulated to all ISO members for voting and comments.
5. Approval Stage – If the DIS is approved, it proceeds to become a Final Draft International Standard (FDIS).
6. Publication Stage – After final approval, the standard is published as an official ISO standard.

ISO standards are developed through consensus and involve international cooperation to support innovation and global trade.
